Install NuggetVPN
Choose a desktop installer, download a release, and launch the app.
Download builds from the official GitHub releases. Use a package for your operating system and processor.
Desktop installation
Download the NSIS installer from Releases and run it. Windows uses WebView2 to display the app.
For an automated install, run this in PowerShell:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Rigby-Foundation/NuggetVPN/main/scripts/install.ps1 | iexThe script downloads the latest release, checks the SHA-256 digest published by GitHub, installs it, and starts the app. Running it again updates the installation.
For unattended installation, use the release asset ending in -silent-installer.exe, or pass /S to the regular installer.
First launch
Open the app as your normal user. On desktop, the first connection in each app session prompts for administrator access to create the TUN network interface. The graphical interface continues to run as your user; the tunnel runs in a separate privileged service.
The app needs a server configuration. Continue with your first connection.
Updates
Desktop builds can check for and install updates inside the app. You can also rerun an installer script or install a newer release manually. Save a backup before moving an installation to another machine.
