Traffic, statistics, and logs
See what the tunnel carries and collect useful diagnostics.
Live traffic
The Home screen displays traffic counters read from the running core. These are separate from subscription allowance and expiry values supplied by your provider.
Open connections
Activity → Network connections shows live connections with the program behind them, the rule that matched, and the server used. You can close an individual connection from this screen.
This is the best place to verify a routing change: create a new request from the app or site, then inspect its matched rule and route. Routing hit counts show connections open now, rather than a lifetime total.
Statistics
Activity → Statistics keeps traffic by application and day, along with each server’s uptime and latency over the last day and week. These statistics are stored on your computer.
Speed test
Run a speed test from Home while connected. It measures through the current server. Desktop users can also run:
NuggetVPN speedtestThe command reports download, upload, ping, and jitter. Tests consume data, so account for your provider’s limits.
Logs
Logging is off by default in release builds. Use Turn logging on under Activity → Logs or enable it under Settings → Privacy when diagnosing a problem.
- Turn logging on.
- Reproduce the failed connection or request.
- Open Activity → Logs and review the error. Export the relevant diagnostics if needed.
- Turn logging off when finished. Doing so also deletes the saved log.
Logs remain in English even when the interface uses another language. Review exported diagnostics for server addresses, domains, and other private information before attaching them to an issue.
For saved log locations, see files and folders.
